Peewee Girls Shutout Opposition
The Blyth-Brussels Peewee girls played twice over the weekend and earned shutout victories in both contests.

The first game was in Port Elgin on Saturday, December 5th against the Saugeen Shores Storm.  After a scoreless first period the team got going with goals from Teresa Atkinson, Taylor Higgins, Ashley Higgins and Mackenzie Nesbitt.  Final score was 4-0.

The second game was in Brussels on Sunday afternoon against the BCH Ice Dogs.  The girls showed some excellent passing skills in the game and won with a score of 6-0.  Ashley Higgins had the hat trick with singles going to Taylor Higgins, Nesbitt and Emily Mitchell.

The goal scorers all earned assists over the weekend as well as: Kathryn Chalmers, Ashley Stevenson, and Autumn Wightman.

Lindsay Shiell earned the shutouts playing both games due to the injury to Carlie Ducharme.  After 12 games this year the team has a record of 9 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties.
