Peewee Girls Win Twice
The Blyth-Brussels Peewee girls played two home games on the weekend.

Things got started in Blyth on Halloween against Tiverton.  Mackenzie Nesbitt scored two unassisted goals in the first period with the visitors netting one.  Leanne Plunkett scored an unassisted goal in the second period, that would prove to be the game winner.  Tiverton would come within one early in the third period and continue to apply pressure for the equalizer.  After a scramble with five minutes to go, Autumn Wightman would relieve the Tiverton pressure by firing a hard clearing shot, that beat the Tiverton goalie.  Taylor Higgins would add a further insurance goal with 2 minutes to go, with assists going to Caitlin Scarrow and Tiffany Deitner.  Final score was 5-2.

The second game was on Sunday in Brussels against Kincardine.  The home team got out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Nesbitt, and Teresa Atkinson with the game winner.  Assists went to Faith Sebastian, Nesbitt and Ashley Stevenson.  The team hung on for a 2-1 victory.
