Local League Dogs Begin Playdowns
Peewee LL Dogs battled the BCH-1 team on Monday evening.
After waiting a week begin their playdowns, the Peewees started with a strong win over the visiting BCH IceDogs. Both teams had several chances during the opening period, with neither team getting on the scoresheet. After some solid play in the BCH end, Curtis Raynard knocked home a loose puck into the BCH net. Blyth would continue their solid play heading into the 3rd with a 1 goal lead. Late in the 3rd, Josh VanSoest would add an insurance goal with help from Trystan Weber, and Raynard. Goalie, Dustin Treble, took care of the net-minding duties making several great stops to preserve the shutout. Blyth wins the opening game.
