The Bantam girls hosted Wingham at the Blyth arena on Saturday, October 30, 2008. Blyth started the scoring early in the first when Heidi Raynard slid one past the Wingham netminder assisted by Jordan Teed.
A goal shortly after by Kayla Dale, assisted by Nicole Middegaal and Meagan Dolmage, had the girls up by two. Wingham came back with one to end the first period and tied up the game with the lone goal in the second. The girls kept the pressure on the Wingham team and were able to score another goal when Lauren McNichol found the back of the net assisted by Nicole Middegaal, however, Wingham came back with two more goals and took the game 4 – 3. A strong defense by Laura Higgins, Lauren Cronin, Tori Kellington and Kelsey Smith helped keep the puck in the opposing end.
