Peewee Rep Sweep First Playoff Series
The Blyth Peewee Rep won there first round of playoffs in dominating fashion winning their third game in Monkton on January 17th.
Blyth started their scoring approximately 2 minutes into the first period and never let up until the final buzzer when the score was 19-1. The scoring breakdown for each period was 7 goals in the first, 4 goals in the second, and 8 in the third. Elma Logan was able to sneak one by Blyth’s goaltender, Dalton Carey, part way through the third to steal his shut out. The goals were scored as follows: Dustin Pennington 5, Mike VanWyk 4, Matt VanWyk 3, Arden Coultes 3, Wyatt Carey 2, Ryan Nesbitt and Trystan Weber for 1 each. The assists went something like this Matt 6, Trystan 4, Dustin 3, Mike 3, Spencer Stevenson 3, Wyatt 2, Connor Rodger 2, Arden 2 and Ryan 1.
Blyth now moves on to play against Drayton for the next series.
