Atom Girls host Wallace-Howick
The Blyth-Brussels Atom girls hosted the Wallace-Howick team on Sunday afternoon.
Halfway through the first Sydney Michie found the back of the net. An assist was awarded to Kathryn Chalmers. Blyth-Brussels would keep the pressure on with many more scoring chances.
Early in the second, the Atom girls would go ahead by two with an unassisted goal from Chalmers. Wallace-Howick kept the pressure on and early in the third would squeak one in. Seven minutes later, the home team would score again with a goal from Sydney Wightman, assisted by Tiffany Deitner.
Strong goaltending by Carlie Ducharme kept the opposing teams chances at a minimum. The three stars of the game were Tiffany Uyl and Kathryn Chalmers for their hard skating, and Tiffany Deitner for playing her position.
