Blyth Take on Wiarton in the Finals
The Novice Bulldogs meet Wiarton in a best of 5 series.

Saturday morning was busy for the Novice Rep Bulldogs. They were hosting the Wiarton Wild for for the first two games of their playoff series. The Bulldogs would score first with Parker Gibbings scoring on a pass from Jared Shearer.  Wiarton would then score shortly afterwards to tie the game at 1.  Blyth's, Gibbings would score his second of the game with helpers going to Carson Richmond and Bailey Bos.  Blyth's, Richmond would then score early in the third with an assist going to Shearer.  Blyth would hold on to the 2 goal lead late into the third when Wiarton would score 2 of their own to tie the game, and force overtime.  Wiarton would complete the comeback to score, and win the game, just a minute into the extra period.  Wiarton takes game one.

After a break the two teams would take to the ice again.  Another great, close game would be watched by the fans.  Both goaltenders would keep the scoresheet blank through two periods of play. Blyth's, Ethan Coultes would open the scoring in the third with assists going to Damon Allen and Parker Gibbings.  This was Blyth's only goal of the game. Wiarton would then come back and score 3, taking game 2 with a 3-1 victory, and a 2 game lead in the series.

Blyth would then travel to Wiarton for game 3 on Sunday afternoon.  The Bulldogs let Wiarton score on the first shift of the game.  Blyth would get on the scoreboard with 31 seconds remaining in the first when Damon Allen scored, with an assist going to Carson Richmond. The game would remain tied at 1 until late in the second, when Wiarton would take the lead.  Wiarton would increase their lead to 2 early in the the third.  Blyth tried it's best to notch a goal but couldn't get one past the goaltender, missing the net on a couple of great chances and hitting the post.  Blyth's, Parker Gibbings would then score with 18 seconds left, with assists form Ethan Coultes and Jared Shearer.  Still down by one, the Bulldogs ran out of time. The Wiarton team would complete the series and take the championship.

Great year Novice Bulldogs.  Everybody worked hard, and had a great year. Team members consist of Jacob Gulutzen, Colin Howson, Parker Gibbings, Drew VanWyk, Damon Allen, Carson Richmond, Jared Shearer, Ethan Coultes, Michaela Rodger, Mitch McNichol, and our affiliated players from the Novice LL team, Bailey Bos, Tanner Bovin and Mason Campbell.
