After a long day at the Howick Tournament the girls had a re scheduled game to play in Walkerton at 10:00 am on Sunday December 30, 2007.

The team was short handed with only 8 skaters making the trip.  This allowed Coach Don Shiell to have some players try some different positions for this game.  The young Walkerton team played very well and held the score close for two periods before the game got away in the third period.
Mackenzie Nesbitt opened the scoring with assists to Sydney Wightman and Brooke Middegaal.  Morgan Howson got a goal before the first was over.  The only goal of the second period was scored by Wightman on a nice pass from Howson.  It was Sydney Wightman's first goal of the season.
The third period opened with Wightman making another rush up the ice and hitting the goal post with her shot and linemate Teresa Atkinson was right there to put in the rebound for her first goal of the season.  Shortly after that Brooke Middegaal picked up a loose puck in the slot and fired a shot off the post and in for her first goal of the season as well.  Nesbitt completed her hat trick to round out the scoring making it a 7 - 1 victory.  Shelby Higgins assisted on the last goal of the game and played another solid game on defense.
