Atom Girls B Champions
The atom girls traveled to Howick for a tournament on December 29, 2007.  Despite not suffering a loss in the tournament the team came home with the B Championship.    

The tournament opened with a 5 - 5 tie with Mount Forest.  Then the girls played the host team and held on for a 5 - 4 victory.  Due to the tie breaking procedures, Mount Forest went on to the A championship against Wallace. 

The girls played the Howick team again in the B Final.  The home team came out hard and built up a 2-0 lead.  The Blyth team tied it up in the second period on goal scored off a rebound by Morgan Howson.  The tie was broke in the third on another barrage of goals from Ashley Higgins and resulting in a 6 -3 victory.  Higgins finished the tournament with an astounding 13 goals in three games and was selected the MVP in their final game.

The tournament also had a skills competition in the afternoon with all teams participating.  The Blyth representatives were Ashley Higgins, Mackenzie Nesbitt, Autumn Wightman and Lindsay Shiell.  Shiell performed very well in net in the competition and lead Blyth to first place in the competition.
