Atom Rep finishes before Christmas similar to the Toronto Maple Leafs!!
The Atom reps had a tough loss tonight against the Wallace Atoms, taking a loss 3-5.

Coach Paul must be taking some plays from the Leafs coach Paul Maurice!  Or, maybe not, but unfortunately they are winding up the season before Christmas similar to the Leafs. The boys took to the ice in Wallace tonight facing a fast skating group with some big players.  The Wallace team took the first point on the scoreboard, sliding a quick one past netminder Dalton Carey.  The Blyth Dogs came back with a goal from Ryan Plunkett, assisted by Curtis Raynard and Owen Weber at 13:30 of the first period.  The Refs were on our side it would seem in the first period calling a number of penalties against Wallace, but our boys still had to battle on in order to get any more shots on their net.  Blyth would get its next goal at 1:22 left in the second period.  Scoring for Blyth was winger Justin Rodger assisted by captain Dustin Pennington.    The next goals came in the third period .  Arden Coultes would score assisted by Curtis Raynard.  The team would have to then kill off a couple penalties of their own.  Excitement was not only on the ice but in the stands!!Many spectators feeling they should have the striped shirts on!!
The Atom Reps have only 2 more regular season games before playoffs start.  The coaches  feels they will be a playoff team, although they will need to continue to dig for the puck, skate fast, and keep out of the penalty box.
   Merry Christmas to all.
