The Blyth Bantams began their season on Monday October 22nd in Blyth against Zurich. Zurich scored twice before Blyth hit the net with a goal from
Tyler S. that was assisted by Aaron P. Zurich would score one more in the second. After the flood, a more determined Blyth team hit the ice. With much of the play during the third in Zurich's end, Blyth
would score less than 3 minutes into the last frame with a much needed goal from Ryan S., assisted by Dana T. and Tyler B. Zurich would find the twine only once during the third. Blyth kept the game exciting with goals also in the third by Kirby C., assisted by Matt C. as well as an unassisted goal by Adam C. The game ended in a 4 all tie.
