Back in the Saddle
It was more like a fun game of hockey between buddies than a league game as both BBMH Midget LL teams competed on home ice for points in the 2016-2017 season.

Watching the teams file into the Brussels arena it was fun to watch the dynamics between players.  It was more like a gathering of friends than one of two separate teams about to play a game of hockey.  A true sign of friendship no matter the circumstances.

Our boys started off the scoring only 20 seconds into the game with Logan Finlyson catching a pass from Drew VanWyk and putting into the back of a net.  Approximately 10 minutes later the same pair of players repeated their actions to give us our second point of the game.

The second period started our scoring with Avery McCarter passing the puck to Logan for his and the team's third goal.  In the same energy Avery decided to try getting his own point and of course it worked as we now lead the game 4 to 1.  After flooding of the ice and a break for the skaters Devin Bridge, our AP player, put one past the goalie for the fifth and last point of the game.

Bailey Boss for BBMHA Midget LL Burgandy took many shots against Trevor DeCorte all game, he was able to sneak one past the pads in the first period, after passes from his goalie Jarron Thompson and teammate Kyle Josling.  Great work boys!

Both teams seemed to be on their mark and it was interesting to watch boys on the "other team" not play as one of our own from last season.  All these young men worked hard and it was a great game to watch.

Thanks to Ty and Tim who kept the rules enforced and still let the boys play a good game of hockey.  Even at times when the players would rather stand around after a whistle and chat :)

Both teams have great talent...come out and watch either group anytime.  The boys enjoy fan participation.
