11-12 Atom AE - Atom AE Come Up Short
Submitted By Janice Machan on Monday, February 06, 2012
The Atom AE's travelled to Mount Forest to hopefully close out the deciding game of the series with a win.

The Mount Forest Rams scored first at the 6:54 mark of the first period and the score remained that way until the third period. At the 9:08 mark, Tanner Boven bulged the twine assisted by Myles Johnston and Ty Drennan. The momentum shift didn't last long as 29 seconds later Mount Forest regained the lead and never looked back. The Rams scored twice more late in the period to make the final score 4 - 1 to dash any hopes of advancing in OMHA playdowns.

The boys played hard and showed flashes of brilliance, but were unable to capitalize on any chances. The next action for the Atom AE's will be in two weeks when they will start a home and home WOAA playoff series with Goderich and those same Mount Forest Rams.
